Pray for peace and cool heads.
It is getting ugly. Campuses across the country are like a big tinderbox as protests against the war in Gaza expand. Campus administrators are trying to maintain law and order and a safe environment for all students, but the students protesting the war feel they are not being heard. As a result, they are getting louder and brasher. This forces administrators to take stronger action, including calling in reinforcements of the overwhelmed campus and local police. This is not going to end well. Lives are going to be changed forever.
Pray for peace and cool heads. Pray for the innocent Israelis and Palestinians in the middle east who face the devastation of war daily. Pray for the coming together of the leaders of Israel and Hamas to start a long-standing cease-fire.
Is this Biden’s Vietnam?
Our country is divided more today than any time since the Vietnam war. With the war in Israel/Gaza and the resulting campus protests, I see our country going down a rabbit hole like what happened in the 60s and 70s. Until the Israel/Hamas dispute is resolved and the U.S role in the war changes, this country will remain a tinderbox.
The War in Gaza will be to Biden what the Vietnam war was to Johnson. Law and order will become the theme to be used against Biden, just as Nixon did in 1968 against Humphrey.
None of the political polls up to this point matter. How the War in Gaza turns out in the next six months is going to determine the November election results. It will be a game changer, which doesn’t bode well for Biden if things remain as they are today.
Caitlin Clark, two-time Sullivan Award Winner and two-time Academic All-American.
The Amateur Athletic Union announced Caitlin Clark as the winner of the AAU James Sullivan Award on Tuesday night, making her the first person in the 94-year history of the award to win it twice. The recognition is given out yearly to the most outstanding amateur or Olympic athlete in the country, while also taking into consideration leadership, citizenship, character, and sportsmanship.
This past week, Clark was named the 2023-24 Academic All-America Team Member of the Year – marking the second consecutive year that she had been named to the list, making her just the seventh player to earn the honor in back-to-back seasons. Clark carries a 3.64 GPA, while majoring in Marketing, a skill that she obviously knows much how to put into practice.
Speaking to the media this week, Clark was asked about the idea of making Team USA. Clark replied that she intends to graduate from college first – otherwise there will be consequences from her mom. Here is my Quote of the Day.
“I need to graduate college first or else my mom might kill me,”
It is a mystery!!!
Question of the Day: How is it possible to strike out when you never swung at a pitch and no pitches were in the strike zone? See the answer in my Video of the Day.

Quote of the Day: See above from Caitlin Clark
Orchid of the Day: Caitlin Clark. She is more than a basketball player.
Onion of the Day: No Onion Today.
Video of the Day: A seven pitch at bat. The batter never swung, and all seven pitches were outside the strike zone. Yet, the batter struck out. Lousy umpiring but a great job by the catcher to steal strikes.
