It was a miracle at The Masters today in Augusta Georgia that no one was hurt as three huge pine trees fell during play today near the 16th hole. The area was filled with spectators but due to the loud cracking of the trees before falling, the spectators were able to run for safety and miraculously no one was hurt. See the Video of the Day.

There is no doubt in my mind the extremists on both the left and the right use every opportunity to drive a wedge into the fabric of our country for the benefit of their points of view. They have no tolerance for those who have a different viewpoint. Rather than tolerating another point of view, they feel they must attack and stifle the other point of view using any means necessary without regard to the other person’s constitutional rights or worse without regard to human decency. The following are examples.
Former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines, , was barricaded in a room at San Francisco State University Thursday night after she was physically assaulted following a speech to students about saving women’s sports at a Turning Point USA and Leadership Institute event on the campus. Earlier this year Gaines testified before congress earlier about her traumatic experience of losing to transgender athlete who was allowed to compete as a women, even though the athlete had spent three previous years on the university’s men’s swimming team. Louis Barker, Riley’s husband, said he had brief conversations with her while she was barricaded in the room for nearly three hours. “She told me she was hit multiple times by a guy in a dress. I was shaking. It made me that mad. It makes me sick to feel so helpless about it,” Barker said. “She was under police protection and was still hit by a man wearing a dress.”
Two Democratic lawmakers have been ousted from the Republican-controlled Tennessee state House of Representatives for allegedly violating the chamber’s rules of decorum by participating in a gun control protest at the state Capitol last week. The demonstration came in the wake of the deadly Covenant School shooting in Nashville on March 27, where a former student fatally shot three children and three adults. Days later, Tennessee Republican Reps. Bud Hulsey, Gino Bulso and Andrew Farmer sponsored the expulsion resolutions, arguing the three Democratic lawmakers “did knowingly and intentionally bring disorder and dishonor to the House of Representatives through their individual and collective actions.”
The extremists are creating a divide that will make it harder and harder to recover. Eventually, it will destroy the country from within. Twenty years ago, it was the foreign extremist who were the biggest threat to our country. Now the domestic extremists are the biggest threat to our country. It is time for the centrist to take back control or our country is doomed. See my Question of the Day.

Today I started to watch Piers Morgan 90 minute interview with Stormy Daniels which was conducted earlier this week following the former president’s indictment. In the portion I have watched so far, Daniels comes across as articulate, intelligent, humorous, confident, and unapologetic for her choice of a career. She says she looks forward to taking the stand in the case against the former president if she is called to do so, because she is the only one telling the truth. She also does not want to see the former president go to jail because of her case. She believes her case is not near as important as the potential cases related to January 6, the interference with the Georgia Secretary of State, and the confidential documents. The full interview is available on You Tube.

Leah and I put our Ypsi house on the market Friday March 31. Our life has been a whirlwind ever since. We had five showings in the first 36 hours. We signed an offer sheet on Sunday April 2. The remainder of the week has been dealing with inspectors, videos of our sewer system, appraisers, radon testing, movers, and multiple meetings and conversations with our realtor. Our realtor and the realtor for the buyer live within one block of our house, which has been a big plus.
We had a chance to meet with the potential buyers and we couldn’t be more pleased. Everything is trending in a very positive manner. More to come on this journey.

Quote of the Day: “I grew up watching him, I think he debuted probably when I was 1 year old (2, actually). So it’s pretty cool to be in the same clubhouse as him.” Riley Greene on sharing his first opening day with “Miggy” who was experiencing his 21st opening day.
Orchid of the Day: Detroit sports legends and Hall of Fame members in their respective sports, Nick Lindstrom, Ben Wallace and Calvin Johnson. The three were scheduled to throw out the first pitch at the Tiger’s opening day ceremony yesterday. Prior to throwing the pitch, they were adamant that “Miggy” come out and join them. When Miggy realized what they wanted, Miggy” jumped out of the dugout to join them. The joy on Miggy’s face was like a five year old on Christmas morning. It was a special moment in the history of opening day in Detroit. See my Bonus Video of the Day.
Question of the Day: When will the centrist take back our country and bring back a semblance of order and civility? Is it time for the creation of a Centrist party?
