Thoughts for the Day, July 6, 2021: Nick Lyon needs our support.

I am loving watching the strategy of Tiger Manager A.J. Hinch.  Last night he played four outfielders against Texas Ranger slugger Joey Gallo.  What made it special was the comments Hinch made when asked about his strategy against Gallo. “I’ve got a lot of history with Gallo. I know how dangerous he is. He hits a ton of fly balls.  I might’ve put six guys in the outfield with Houston.  I’d put Carlos Correa and Jose Altuve in shallow outfield. We put as many outfielders as we could. I’d put a guy over the fence if the league would allow it.”  The Tigers really lucked out when A.J. Hinch became available because of the pitch stealing fiasco when he was the manager at Houston.

Today I received another update from Jim Haveman on the politically motivated prosecution for manslaughter of former DHS Director Nick Lyon by Attorney General Dana Nessel.  Here is Haveman’s update.

July 6,2021

This is my 14th Update on Director Lyon since he was charged for the

second time on January 14,2021.

For the past few days I have been reflecting on freedom, justice and heroes.

The reality is that Director Lyon is going on the 6th year of his lack of freedom

and justice. He has experienced a total lack of due process and justice.

The Lyon family has not enjoyed the wonders of freedom and justice.

Director Lyon has always been a hero in the arena of finance and health care.

It is almost 6 months since Director Lyon and 8 other defendants were

charged by AG Nessel, Solicitor General Fadwa Hammoud and Wayne

County Prosector Kym Worthy.  The defendants still do not know the

depth, extent and the facts of the charges announced 6 months ago.

A status hearing for Director Lyon and other defendants was held

on June 24, 2021 with Judge Kelly in the Genesee County Circuit

Court.  Nothing was accomplished and another status hearing

regarding the facts of AG Nessel’s case was scheduled for

October, 2021. In my opinion, these cases by AG Nessel just

continue to fail to pass the competency test.

At the June 24 hearing the AG Nessel’s office was represented by

Chris Kessel her former law partner who now works for her.

On June 25 I was a guest of Bill Ballenger’s Michigan Talk

Network. The Political Insider interview is attached and the

interview starts at 19.15 ( minutes and seconds) into the show.

On July 1,2021 Director Lyon’s attorney, Chip Chamberlain

filed a motion in the Genesee County court challenging the

constitutionality of the One-Man Grand Jury that charged

Director Lyon for the second time.

Also Governor Snyder’s attorney filed a motion in the Wayne County

Bankruptcy Court dealing with the protection of Client- Attorney privilege.

As you know, AG Nessel’s office has abused this privacy protection for

the defendants.

Please keep the Lyon family and the other defendants in your prayers so

that this nightmare and injustice brought on by AG Nessel might end.

Orchid of the Day: Tiger Manager, A.J Hinch for playing 4 outfielders in Monday’s game against the Texas Rangers whenever Joey Gallo came to bat.

Onion of the Day:  No onions today. I am in a forgiving mood.

Quote of the Day: “History tells us that when we stand together, when we unite in common cause, when we see ourselves not as Republicans or Democrats, but as Americans, then there’s simply no limit to what we can achieve.”  President Joe Biden in his 4th of July speech.
