A Vulgar Fest at Madison Square Garden
I am still trying to figure out the purpose of the former president’s rally on Sunday evening at Madison Square Garden.
Was it to rally those that are already going to vote for him regardless of what he says or does? Was it to denigrate anyone who isn’t white and Christian? Was it to show the campaign’s mastery of foul, and disgusting languish? Was it to show the world that you can do and say whatever you want and get away with it?
I know one thing, it wasn’t presidential. It was also classless, vulgar, racist, misogynist, sexist, and pathetic.
To date, the former president has not disavowed or tried to discredit any of the speakers for what they said. Only a small blurb by his campaign saying that he does not feel about Puerto Rico the way one of the speakers described the U.S territory.
Unfortunately, the statements do reflect the former president’s views. If they do not, then how did those speakers get chosen to speak at the rally? If they do not reflect his views, what kind of leader can he be, if he allows his team to hire speakers who do not reflect his views? If they do not reflect his views, why were all his supporters at the rally cheering the speakers’ remarks? If they do reflect his views, why didn’t he speak up against the remarks when he took the stage?
Here is what was said at his rally on Sunday. I have a hard time understanding how anyone can vote for him when this is what he and his supporters do and say in public. Can you imagine what they say and do behind closed doors?
“There’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. Yeah. I think it’s called Puerto Rico.”
“And these Latinos, they love making babies too, just know that. They do. They do. There’s no pulling out. They don’t do that. They come inside, just like they did to our country.”
“Cool, Black guy with a thing on his head? What is that, a lampshade? Look at this guy, oh my goodness. Wow. I’m just kidding, that’s one of my buddies. He had a Halloween party last night. We had fun. We carved watermelons together.”
“When it comes to Israel and Palestine, we’re all thinking the same thing. Settle your stuff already, best out of three. Rock, paper, scissors. You know the Palestinians; they’re going to throw a rock every time. But you also know the Jews have a hard time throwing that paper, if you know what I’m saying.”
“She calls him Hitler. Let me remind you, Hillary, it was your husband who shot innocent people — or, as he called them, interns. Yeah, Hillary, I bet you did not see that one coming. By the way, if I commit suicide in three weeks, I didn’t.”
“I think football should be all year round, So many great athletes. I don’t know about you guys, but I think that Travis Kelce might be the next O.J. Simpson.”
“She is some sick bastard, that Hillary Clinton, huh? What a sick son of a bitch. The whole fucking party, a bunch of degenerates, low lives, Jew-haters and low lives. Every one of them. Every one of them.”
“You got homeless and veterans, Americans, Americans, sleeping in their own feces on a bench in Central Park. But the fucking illegals, they get whatever they want, don’t they?”
“Her and her pimp handlers will destroy our country.”
“We need to slaughter this other people.”
“They won’t let a Palestinian in Jordan. They won’t let a Palestinian in Egypt, And Harris wants to bring them to you. They may have good people. I’m sorry, I don’t take a risk with people that are taught to kill Americans at 2.”
“It’s going to be pretty hard to look at us and say: ‘You know what, Kamala Harris, she’s just, she got 85 million votes because she’s just so impressive as the first Samoan-Malaysian, low IQ former California prosecutor ever to be elected president. ‘It was just a groundswell of popular support, and anyone who thinks otherwise is just a freak or a criminal.’”
So presidential, so unifying, so DISGUSTING. It frightens me that over 70 million people voted for him in 2020 and an equal amount or more will vote for him in 2024.
Every vote matters.
The World Series
The Dodgers are up 3-0. The Yankees swing and miss too much, and their defense is inferior to the Dodgers’ defense.
The Yankees might want to think about walking Freddie Freeman for the remainder of the series. After hitting a homerun in each of the first three games, including a grand slam in the tenth inning of the first game, Freeman has the Yankee pitchers figured out. Freeman has removed any doubt about him being elected on the first ballot for the Hall of Fame.
75 Degrees on October 29 in Northern Michigan.
Today I played golf in shirtsleeves at Antrim Dells. I only wished I would have had shorts on instead of my long pants.
Part of the A-ga-Ming group of courses, Antrim Dells is one of the hidden gems in Northern Michigan. In the 1980s it hosted the Michigan Amateur Championship along with Belvedere Country Club. The course was in great condition considering the time of year. It will be open until November 15. I hope to play it a few more times, weather permitting.
I can remember playing at Antrim Dells on October 1 a few years ago and it started snowing while we were playing.

Quote of the Day: “Yet I’m going to vote for her. Other conservatives should, too… But Trump is worse in ways that matter profoundly to the rule of law, the health of capitalism and the future of freedom at home and abroad. Conservatives who claim to care about these things should also care about what Trump may do to each of them — and, crucially, do so in the name of conservatism.” Conservative opinion writer, Bret Stephens in an opinion article in today’s NY Times.
Orchid of the Day: Freddie Freeman, Dodgers first baseman who has hit a home run in each of the first three games of the World Series. He has the World Series all but wrapped up.
Onion of the Day: The former president and his campaign for their vulgar fest at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.
Question of the Day: How can it be, that the remainder of the Republican Party is not holding the former president accountable for what was said on Sunday at Madison Square Garden?
